APS National Conference 2026 brings the industry together

On 9 September, construction health and safety professionals from across the UK gathered at Aston University for the APS National Conference 2026, marking APS's first in-person national conference for a number of years.

The Association for Project Safety (APS) announces that following his successful tenure as interim and then Chief Executive Officer, for his work in delivering to our members messaging and advice in the post Grenfell aftermath in relation to the Building Safety Act, Building Regulation across the UK and competence schemes, leading the HQ team and his key role in recruiting his successor, Andrew Leslie is leaving APS.

An Industry Task and Finish Group, convened by the CLC Building Safety Group, Portfolio 4: Building Occupation, and industry technical experts BIM in Asset Management, have published guidance on the Occupied Sector’s expectations for accurate, trustworthy and complete building information at project completion.

A tribute to Fraser Cook

APS remembers Fraser Cook, founder of CDM (Scotland) Ltd, Fellow of the Association for Project Safety and a respected figure in the CDM and health and safety community, who sadly passed away on 30 March 2026 aged 77.
