We're all talking about it, but what exactly is ethics?
Is it the moral principles that govern a person's behaviour or the conduct of an activity? Is it the discipline concerned with what is morally good and bad, right and wrong? A system of values and principles? Or simply an academic subject?
Who sets the rules? What shapes our moral frame of reference? Do we simply do what our peers are doing, or is there a benchmark we are expected to meet? Who wrote that benchmark (if anyone did), and who judges our performance?
How do project arrangements affect our professional behaviour - or are they not relevant? Doing the right thing is absolute... right?
What does our Code of Conduct require of us, and is following it enough?
And what about integrity? Is it the same thing as ethics, or something different?
Philip Baker, a seasoned presenter on a wide range of topics, will share some thoughts and challenge you to reflect on your own professional practice in an ever-changing and often poorly defined area of life.
Or is it?
