Fellow Membership (FaPS)

APS Fellows are recognised as experts in the field and ambassadors for the institution; they have demonstrated significant contributions to design risk management and services to the industry.  Fellows act as role models and mentors for others in the profession.

Applications are welcomed from existing CMaPS members who have held APS membership for a minimum of five consecutive years.

  • Completed applications must be submitted with relevant supporting statements and application fee.
  • Applicants will then be invited to interview (video conferencing).  The interview panel comprises three members, taken from:  (a) Board / Council members, and/or (b) APS HQ staff and (c) Existing Fellows.
  • At interview, the panel will explore written statements in further detail.  (APS may request further information or supporting material at any stage.)  The panel’s  'assessment criteria' is available on these pages.  The interview will take no more than an hour and applicants will usually be informed of the outcome within five working days.
