Using the £59m Mosscare St Vincent Housing Trust residential development in Manchester as a case study, this session will share our experience of preparing and submitting a Higher-Risk Building (HRB) application to the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).

The presentation will provide an overview of the project, the approach taken to assemble the submission, and the tools used to manage compliance information. We will also reflect on some of the challenges encountered and our observations during the first month following submission.

Topics will include:

  • The project and HRB context
  • Assembling the design information required for submission
  • Use of a Building Regulations tracker
  • Challenges encountered during the process
  • Early lessons learned

This is a practical account of a live project rather than a guide to the Gateway 2 process, offering attendees an insight into one team's experience of preparing an HRB application.
