Shannan is an ARB-registered, RIBA Chartered Architect and Principal Designer (Building Regulations) with nine years’ experience in the construction industry. Shannan has worked across residential, commercial and public-sector projects, from early concept and planning through to technical delivery and construction. Her experience includes high-rise developments, mixed-use regeneration, masterplanning and façade remediation, with a strong focus on buildability, regulatory compliance and risk management.

Over the past year at Airey Miller, Shannan has worked in a dual role, developing her experience in both Principal Designer (Building Regulations) and Principal Designer (CDM) services. She supports higher-risk and non-higher-risk projects through design compliance reviews, dutyholder advice and Gateway submissions. She combines her architectural experience with a growing specialism in building safety, fire safety and risk management. She is passionate about contributing to a safer construction industry and helping to deliver high-quality, inclusive and resilient buildings for all.
