About the Event

From October 2023, high-rise residential building owners in England will hold an increased legal responsibility for the prevention of the spread of fire and building structural failure. To mitigate these Building Safety risks, building owners must create, hold and maintain a Building Safety Case, making a report available to the Building Safety Regulator upon request and regular intervals.

A Building Safety Case is a structured argument why a building is safe for occupation.

As a robust argument, a building safety case must be up to date at all times. This means that every time you make a change to your building – big or small – you will need to update the relevant information. For this reason, a building safety case needs to be editable and ultimately, digital.
