The CIOB will provide an introduction to their work with construction leaders on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It would be based on the findings of their recent report which examined how the SDGs can be used as a framework to help the built environment become more innovative and sustainable, as well as the work they are doing in a second series of roundtables during 2026. 

The presentation will provide an introduction to the UN SDGs (including goal 3 health and wellbeing), and how the industry is engaging with them, what we can learn from other sectors, high level findings of the analysis of SDG self-assessments completed by participating businesses, some case studies of the SDGs in action in the construction industry, opportunities, barriers and challenges, how we are taking the agenda forwards, and useful resources.
