About the event

In order to focus our design and construction health and safety risk management activities we need to know what is causing harm to construction workers, others who work in the industry and members of the public.

This webinar will explore the sources of information that are available to us and those that will enable us to ascertain what are significant risks and need to be given our attention and those that are important and also need to be considered and how we might make these judgements

About the speaker

Philip Baker is a seasoned sharer of information and has spoken on a number of occasions on various topics for APS and other organisations, nationally and internationally including respiratory diseases caused by dusts and asbestos issues.

With over 40 years in construction, latterly focusing on design risk management and health and safety, Philip has been, advised and trained all of the duty holders roles. Having recently finished working on the extension to the Northern Line in London and recladding an 18 storey building in Sheffield, Philip is currently working as PD on projects ranging from the installation of a dumb waiter in a restaurant to the desteaming of a regional hospital and as PC advisor on a similarly broad range of projects.
