Webinar - Living with diabetes without the lettuce leaf diets

Date: Thursday 17 June 2021
This was an on-line event.
Topic: Education and training

About the event

4.6 million people have diabetes in the UK with a further 700 people diagnosed a day.

Diabetes is a manageable condition, if you know the symptoms and how to take care of yourself. We are not talking a lettuce leaf salad but the real world, how to stabilise your blood sugar levels if you are going out for dinner/drink, how to know what to do if you see someone having a hypo and how to know if you might have diabetes and what happens next.

Diabetes can lead to blindness, amputations and erectile dysfunction, make sure you don’t end up as one of the 170 people a week having an amputation.

Join this session and learn about diabetes, the stigma that needs to be removed and how to make simple steps to a healthier lifestyle. I promise no lettuce leaf diets!
