This webinar will be hosted by Philip Baker and will focus on a case study of a complaint, in the area of CDM and contracts.

Philip Baker was contacted by a private individual who recently commissioned some refurbishment work to their residence.  Very unhappy with the outturn, the individual wanted to sue the contractor specifically relying on their failure to provide an adequate Health and Safety File. 

In this webinar Philip will share his exploration of issues around obligations for the production of the Health and Safety File in this case, the other options that were considered for action and limitations with respect to projects for domestic clients.  The webinar will also draw on some work that APS collaborated on with the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers around the production of Health and Safety Files.  The Health and Safety File, the last and, arguably, most visible Principal Designer deliverable - do you want your last invoice paid?"
