Challenging the idea that buildings are passive, she presents them as active components of climate infrastructure. Drawing on her research in the high-density, high-value context of the City of London, Julie will explain how design decisions such as density, symmetry, and openness to the sky have cascading effects on energy flow, ventilation, and ecological performance. She will also discuss how these insights are informing practical tools and policy guidance to embed climate logic into urban planning, shaping more resilient and responsive cities for the future.
