Unauthorised occupation of non-residential premises 

This week we are joined by Howard Passey, Principal Consultant, The Fire Protection Association. Howard will discuss that insurers have reported insurers have reported a significant increase in the frequency and severity of claims for damage and clear up costs from unauthorised occupations of vacant properties.  As many businesses have moved out of their buildings temporarily – and at some speed, owners may not have considered that vacant buildings are often more susceptible to the risk of fire (arson), criminal activity, misuse and malicious damage.
