Diabetes, an accident waiting to happen 

This week we will be joined by Kate Walker, Director of the Diabetes Safety Organisation. Kate will be looking asking, does your company have specific policies or procedures in place for diabetes safety? Now seems such a pivotal time to ensure everything is in place while those with diabetes are being classed as clinically vulnerable post the coronavirus. Diabetes effects a third of the populations, with 700 new cases a day in the UK. Diabetes can cause people to black out or act as if drunk if they are not correctly managing their condition on the higher medications. These are staggering statistics that apply to all businesses. To ensure staff safety and correct personal testing under DVLA regs are adhered to, along with helping companies comply with the Healthy and Safety at Work Act.
