Lesley McLeod has stood down as the Chief Executive of the Association for Project Safety (APS). Lesley joined the association in 2016 and now wants to move to consultancy roles and pursue her other outside interests. The association will now start a search for a new CEO.

Lesley McLeod said:

“I have been with the Association for Project Safety (APS) longer than nearly any other job I have ever had but the time has come to move on. I want to take on other work opportunities and to have more time to develop projects of my own.

“I have done all I can at APS having been there through a major governance overhaul and seeing the association deliver more and better services and events for members.

“All I can say to my successor is that APS has the best members you will find anywhere in the built environment and the association has a small but brilliant team. I will miss them all and wish everyone all the very best.”

“On behalf of the Association for Project Safety (APS) I would like to thank Lesley for her service to the association and its members. She has been with APS during some very difficult times for the construction industry and for the country and, in particular, has brought a mix of enthusiasm, communication skills and political acuity to the role of Chief Executive. APS is a very different organisation to the one she found when she arrived in 2016 with a far greater emphasis on members and the services and events APS delivers. On behalf of the board of directors we wish Lesley every success for the future.”
