This webinar will introduce you to Linewatch.
Linewatch exists to raise awareness of hazardous pipelines here in the UK and to encourage safe working practices around them.
The presentation will cover the following items:
- What is Linewatch and who are its members.
- Where such pipelines run in the UK.
- The consequence of damaging pipelines.
- How to find hazardous pipelines during planning and on-site operations.
- Using ‘LinesearchbeforeUdig’ (LSBUD) correctly to get the best from the search data.
- What it could cost if damage was caused to the network.
- Summary and questions.
Information about the speaker
Murray Peat manages the Linewatch organisation on behalf of its members. He has worked in the utilities sector for the past 12 years as a pipeline technician on various oil pipeline networks around the UK including Esso, Mainline Pipelines and Total. Linewatch exists to raise awareness of our members pipeline networks throughout the utility and agricultural contracting industry encouraging the use of safe working practices when planning and undertaking work around them.
