This webinar will provide an update on the legal landscape, relevant criminal cases and any impact they may have on safety professionals across relevant industries.

It will also address the key issues that have led to the defence and prosecution of recent health and safety cases. This will include significantly increased fines for companies and imprisonment for individuals for health and safety breaches. It will also cover the impact those issues might have for directors and senior managers, as well as organisations.

About the speaker - Kizzy Augustin

Kizzy is a partner in the fraud and criminal litigation team, specialising in health and safety. She is a solicitor advocate with Higher Rights of Audience. She appears regularly as an advocate in court proceedings, employment tribunals (for appealing Improvement and Prohibition notices) and Coroners' inquests.

Kizzy has been recognised by The Legal 500 (2017) as a “Next Generation Lawyer” , as well as one of the Top 15 top H&S influencers in the UK by SHP. She has significant experience in defending companies and senior employees in corporate manslaughter and serious fire & health and safety prosecutions.
