The Building Safety Bill

The built environment changed forever when fire ripped through the Grenfell Tower making safety an industry imperative. The Building Safety Bill – currently completing its parliamentary passage – is set to put fire safety at the centre of all future high-risk projects.

The Association for Project Safety supports the intention of the legislation but believes more can be done to make all future builds safer for workers and end users alike.

The association’s spring conference – being held online on Wednesday 11 May 2022 - will bring together the lead government Lords’ minister and a high-level line-up of key industry figures to talk about the implications of the new legislation as well as what APS is doing to help colleagues develop their understanding and skills to meet the challenges of the new dutyholders and regulations.
