APS ENERGY WEEK - WEEK COMMENCING MONDAY 23 JANUARY 2023 Shining a light on energy

Everyone is feeling the impact of the energy crisis and the Association for Project Safety [APS] – the professional body dedicated to reducing risks in the construction sector – is launching a one off series of special events to talk about what can be done to manage costs and meet the challenges of making our homes and the places we work more energy efficient.

APS Energy Week events are open to everyone – and free to the association’s members. All events can be found at www.aps.org.uk/energyu-week but the special webinars, films and interview with key industry experts include:

• Safety and sustainability;
• Electric vehicles and the power management issues;
• Net Zero versus Passivhaus;
• Energy Poverty;
• Designing power stations; and
• Heat from the streets.

APS chief executive, Lesley McLeod said:

“Everyone is talking about energy costs and looking for ways to reduce the bills and future-proof our homes and offices from further shocks. At the same time people are very conscious of the need to work together to find solutions to climate change. At the Association for Project Safety [APS] our members are very aware the construction sector both contributes to the climate emergency and has in its hands ways to help people offset those risks and manage the costs they are facing today.

“APS Energy Week will run from Monday 23 January 2023. It aims to highlight innovation across the construction sector as well as looking at what can be done to help people meet the challenges they are currently facing.
