Building Safety Act & PD Building Regulations 2023 (2 Day)
This accredited 2-day course, available virtually or in-person, offers a deep dive into the new and critical Building Safety Act and associated regulations in England, particularly the changes to the Building Regulations 2010 introduced by Part 2A of the 2023 amendments. Led by industry experts, this comprehensive learning experience aims to explain the impact of the amended Building Regulations, and competence requirements in particular, and promote compliance within the construction sector. This course targets all duty holders established by the amended Building Regulations engaged in work on non-higher risk and higher risk buildings.
Course topics include health and safety standards, the Building Safety Act 2022, Principal Designer responsibilities, competence requirements under the amended Building Regulations (England), the Golden Thread concept, building control, fire and structural safety, safety case reports, and enforcement. On completion of the course, you will be able to understand the principles of Building Safety Act 2022 and associated secondary legislation in relation to design, construction and estate management and how this affects your work during design, construction, use, maintenance and demolition.
