APS President Elect
Election For Term 1 February 2025 to 31 January 2027
The APS Nominations committee have selected two candidates to be put forward to the APS membership for the position of APS President Elect - Term 1 February 2025 to 31 January 2027.
As members of APS, it’s up to you to vote and select on the candidate to take up post.
To assist you in your decision making each candidate has been given the opportunity to set out why they believe they should be considered as APS President Elect. They have produced a short video and a vacancy statement to support their application.
In addition to the information provided on the website, the association hosted a live Q&A session on Thursday, 28 November 2024. The event welcomed both candidates and APS members, offering an open forum for attendees to ask questions directly to the candidates.
Voting is now open and will close on Tuesday 3 December 2024 at 12 noon. Please only vote for one candidate.

Allan Binns
As a long-standing advocate for safety in the built environment, I am deeply committed to advancing the Association for Project Safety's mission. With over two decades of experience in roles including CDM Consultant, Safety Director, and currently, Director at Project Four Safety, I have consistently championed a best practice approach.
I regularly contribute insights to publications including Building Magazine, PBC Today, and Project Safety Journal, and speak at industry events such as Future Build and the LABC Management and Policy Conference, aiming to share knowledge and promote progress in compliance.
If elected as President, I would focus on supporting our members' professional development, enhancing APS's influence on safety standards, and creating resources that deepen our collective expertise in CDM and the Building Safety Act. Together, I believe we can build a more knowledgeable, safety-driven profession that meets today's challenges and those of the future.

Bryn Wilde
I am a Chartered Civil Engineer (FICE) and have been a member of the APS (FaPS) since 1984. I have always taken a keen interest in APS serving on Regional Committee, Council and most recently as a Board Director.
When acting as a Director, I have been a very active board member, sitting on both the Membership and Standards committee, and the Education and Training committee plus representing APS on the CIC Building Safety Wales Consultation Panel and the CIC National Housing Panel.
My most recent remit has been Director with responsibility for Finance. We are at a key point in our history with the introduction of the introduction of the new Building Safety Act / Regulations, with their variations between the devolved nations, and the new requirements being placed around competence. At APS we have been working hard to be a major stakeholder in the decisions being made which will impact upon the built environment and we must ensure that we continue to be at the forefront of consultations on the impact of new and existing legislation raising the concerns and views of our membership with our Presidential team lobbying for our best interests.
We must also ensure that APS get the right training / guidance in place to upskill members with regards to new and changing requirements and get the right membership structure in place to make it simpler and more appealing to join at the entry level for individuals and companies from a wide range of disciplines.
