The Management of Pre-Construction Health and Safety

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the roles and responsibilities of CDM 2015.  It highlights the importance of the principles of prevention and the requirement for cooperation and coordination in the management of health and safety.  It provides practical underpinning knowledge to illustrate CDM2015 principles and practical / legal implications.  It will be of interest to Clients, Principal Designers, Designers, Contractors and Principal Contractors and those seeking to act in an advisory role.

This course is between 2 and 3 days in duration* and provides a comprehensive overview of the roles and responsibilities of CDM 2015.  It highlights the importance of the principles of prevention and the requirement for cooperation and coordination in the management of health and safety.

*Course duration. The ‘classroom’ component may be shorter in some circumstances, depending on delegate needs and delivery methods (including pre-reading and self-study requirements).

• Overview of key construction safety and health issues, cross-cutting legislative requirements, HSE campaigns and enforcement
• Overview of CDM roles and responsibilities, design in construction

An individual who successfully completes the accredited course in The Management of Pre-Construction Health and Safety may claim points towards membership of APS. A copy of the certificate must be included with an application.
