Tickets go on sale for the annual APS National Conference.

A top flight line up of industry experts will be joining the Association for Project Safety (APS) at its annual national conference when the Association will be looking to the future of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. Tickets for this year’s conference - to be held in Sheffield on Wednesday 4 September 2019 - go on sale today (Wednesday 6 February 2019).  A special discount rate of £150 for members and £180 for non-members will only be available until Sunday 17 March 2019.

The conference, Delivering leadership in CDM – a blueprint for 2020, will see the culmination of an extensive member survey looking at how the CDM regulations can be improved and developed to help cut deaths, accidents and ill- health in construction. The flagship annual event will also look at how the construction industry can effectively work together to respond to both the fall-out from the Grenfell tragedy and the demands for new homes and renewed infrastructure.

Delivering leadership in CDM – a blueprint for 2020 will have something for everyone with an exciting mix of keynote platform speeches and a range of break out and panel sessions tackling issues such as the triumphs and failures of CDM 2015, Design Risk Management and Building Regulations.

APS chief executive, Lesley McLeod said:

“This year’s annual Association for Project Safety National Conference will see expert members deliver root and branch proposals to deliver safer construction by bringing the Construction (Design and Management ) Regulations up to date. APS members are the leading professionals working in design and construction health and safety risk management and are looking to work constructively with colleagues from right across the industry to deliver a safer and healthier construction sector for everyone.

“We are putting the finishing touches to our programme but we already have a line up of leading industry experts to deliver our flagship event. There is a great mix of platform speeches and expert break out sessions so there truly is something for everyone - members and non-members alike.

“Tickets are on sale now. There are early bird tickets available for a strictly limited time so, if you want to help shape the future of construction, it would be a good idea to get in early.”

The all-day conference is being held at Sheffield Hallam University on Wednesday 4 September 2019. Details of the programme and to buy tickets are here or on the right of this page.
