This is an unashamed advert for this year’s APS annual conference. The construction industry is facing inevitable change and unprecedented challenge so this year will be an important opportunity to talk about the critical issues facing the design and construction health and safety risk management community.
There are just a couple of weeks to go before our big day and I would like to invite as many of you as possible to join us in Sheffield on Wednesday 4 September 2019. Bookings are better this year than at any time in the association’s history but we can still find room for some more of you if you want to come along. If you a swithering, remember the event qualifies towards your annual CPD total adding 12 points, and tickets – if you are paying for yourself – are tax deductible. CLICK HERE to book your place
At conference we have a top-flight line up of industry experts who will be considering the state of the construction industry set against the backdrop of likely changes coming our way in the wake of Grenfell, next year’s promised review of the Construction [Design and Management] Regulations 2015 as well as how the industry will be able to rise to the challenges – many as yet unquantified – of Brexit. Among other things we will be looking at business and infrastructure and how construction can attract and retain top quality staff. There are group sessions to choose from and our ever-popular panel session. And, of course, the announcement of this year’s APS award winners. We are very grateful to our sponsors – Mattinson Partnership, our headline conference sponsor; GHPC, our awards sponsor; and Hews Recruitment, our networking reception sponsor for their invaluable support.
