CDM Consultant

Introduction to Cundall:
Established in the UK 40 years ago, Cundall has developed into an international multi-disciplinary consultancy operating in the UK, Australia, Asia, MENA, and Europe. Cundall’s team of CDM Consultants pride themselves on their exemplary track record of managing the health and safety elements of complex and often prestigious building projects.

Job Description:
The CDM Consultancy is looking to appoint a talented CDM Consultant to join our team at our office in Birmingham. As part of our expanding CDM Consultancy team, you will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, and will assist and advise clients in bringing together pre-construction information, and provide the necessary information to designers and contractors to ensure they can carry out their duties. You will also carry out health, safety and environmental inspections and audits at intervals to be agreed on projects during the construction phase, and in doing so, identify and analyse trends from injury and near miss reporting. Crucially, you will provide proactive assistance in ensuring best practice is maintained within Cundall with regard to CDM, through training sessions, support services, input into the maintenance of internet/intranet documentation, and operational procedures.

Job Skills:
Accredited with CMaPS membership with the Association for Project Safety, and demonstrating sound knowledge and experience of health and safety within a construction environment, you have strong working knowledge of the CDM regulations, and the requirements that this places upon Cundall, our clients, our design team colleagues, and the construction teams that we work alongside. You have demonstrated your ability to look at projects, and to assess how you might improve the health and safety of those that will construct, clean, maintain, use, and potentially in future, demolish the works. You possess strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, and crucially, share Cundall’s passion for CDM, ensuring that health and safety, sustainability and design aesthetics work hand in hand to achieve engineering excellence.

Job Particulars:

  • Competitive salary and excellent benefits
  • Located in the Birmingham office
  • Permanent full-time
