About the event

This presentation will cover the identification of hazardous material within listed buildings. It shall also include requirements for asbestos surveys, identification of different types of asbestos, and requirements for removal of hazardous material. Examples from various sites shall be provided. This talk will be of benefit to both designers and contractors working in listed buildings and any building built before the 1980’s.

About the speaker

Shona Baugh is an Associate Director with WSP Risk Management Services, with over thirteen years’ experience within the asbestos industry and well-practiced in a variety of consultancy, project management, surveying and analytical works. She is currently based at the WSP Birmingham office, managing a team of asbestos consultants throughout the Midlands/South West and delivering and managing all aspects of asbestos services. These include contract and client management, asbestos surveys, abatement, internal technical auditing and delivering training to a variety of clients in a range of sectors. Sectors include, but not limited to, local authorities, education, Homes England, Highways England, property managers, house builders/ developers, and industry.
