This is Part 2 in the series by Dr Tim Beaumont of the HSE covering the principles that lie at the heart of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and how they enable effective management for health, safety and welfare. Delegates will hear how the roles and responsibilities set out in the legislation can be implemented so that construction projects manage risks appropriately.

About the speaker
Dr Tim Beaumont is the HM Inspector of Health & Safety and Head of Construction Management Policy Unit at the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Tim has worked at the HSE for 20 years starting in Field Operations, inspecting a range of industries from plastics to agriculture, before moving into policy work. First as the HSE's health & safety advisor and later as a policy official working on the implementation of the EMF European directive. After a short stint in the Office for Nuclear Regulation, Tim worked for 7 years in major hazards inspecting chemicals installations including oil refineries. Since January 2019, Tim has headed up the team that develops construction management policy.
