About the webinar

Kathleen Harrison, the Lead UK Positive Mental Health Champion, will discuss Jacob’s mental health initiative Mental Health Matters and the impact it has had on the business three years after it was launched in the UK and Ireland. She will also discuss why mental health in the workplace is important and its increasing awareness in the public consciousness.

About the speaker

Kathleen is a Principal Civil Engineer with almost 20 years’ experience in the construction industry delivering new build and refurbishment multi-phased projects for a leading contractor, and leads the River Engineering team in Manchester, who focus on flood defence and protection. She was one of the original Positive Mental Health Champions and trainers at the launch of Jacobs mental health initiative Mental Health Matters in 2016 and took on the role of Lead UK Champion in 2018. Kathleen has been actively involved in the Jacobs Women’s Network for several years and is currently the Chair of the UK and Ireland region heading up a network of over 20 office chapters. Kathleen is passionate about supporting all engineers achieve their professional qualifications and is actively involved with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) on a local and national level.
