Unexploded ordnance - what lies beneath

The UK government gave an undertaking to increase the number of residential dwellings since there is a severe shortage of available property. In fulfilling this, developers, wishing to de-risk the process, will often choose a green field location as there will be fewer contamination issues to manage. It is in these areas that there are likely to be undiscovered ordnance (UXO).  To better inform the client you need to be more knowledgeable about why, where and how to identify and manage the possibility of UXOs being found or alluded to on SI survey reports.
