COVID-19 brought many changes to our working lives. This is the account of a Safety Manager and how the impact of the pandemic was managed.
We will discuss the initial Construction Leadership Council Guidelines and how these were implemented at project level whilst demonstrating to both customers and the wider professional team that Willmott Dixon were able to create a COVID secure work environment.
We will look at how we balanced the differing approaches taken by Central Government and the Welsh Assembly, whilst maintaining a consistent approach and message to our people and supply chain.
Finally, we will look into the learning and changes we will continue to implement as a result of a new way of working.
The pandemic has taught us some valuable lessons and ones as an industry we need to heed.
